“We'll never see what lies ahead if we keep on looking back”

"It’s time to go, Jenny
Drive quickly down the track
We'll never see what lies ahead if we keep on looking back
Behind is just an empty house
Old memories and ghosts
And our small dream gathering dust,"

A situation where I used to work has brought this Mary Black song to mind. The song is called “Leaving the Land” and tells of drought and failure. (Here is an amateur version beautifully sung: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHgJiOMXmws)
So? I keep looking back and I see old memories and ghosts, and the dreams gathering dust.

I think it maybe is time to go, Woody.
